Firmware version 3.1.0 for AXIS Network Answering Units includes the following changes
Precautions to be taken during update to FW version 3.1.x
Devices no longer emit audible beeps during boot or network state changes by default. If required, this behavior can be enabled under `Customization > Audio > Startup and Network States Signalization`.
It may be necessary to refresh the webpage to access the login screen when updating from older firmware because this version generates new device certificates.
New Functions and Improvements
The Control Center feature has been significantly expanded.
It now supports the following widgets: HTTP requests, Clock, Weather, Direct Call, and Notification Center.
Widgets now come in more sizes, and the grid density has increased to allow for more placement options.

Devices can no longer be downgraded below version 2.47.0 after updating.
Devices no longer accept certificates signed with 1024-bit RSA keys. These certificates are removed during the update and must be replaced with certificates using at least 2048-bit RSA or ECC keys. Services relying on weaker certificates will stop functioning, and a warning will appear next to the certificate selection parameter in the web interface.
In EAP-TLS mode, 802.1x no longer supports RADIUS certificates containing the `id-kp-clientAuth` Extended Key Usage. If such certificates are used, they will be rejected after the update, resulting in the device being unable to authenticate and connect to the network.
New Functions and Improvements
Reception of `In-Band (Audio)` DTMF is now disabled by default to improve resilience against malicious attacks.
Added support for Blind Assistance Mode during incoming calls. In this mode, all controls—both physical buttons and the display—perform identical actions. A short press answers an incoming call or ends an active call, while a long press unlocks the door once the call is connected. This mode is intended for visually impaired users and should not be used together with Screen Lock.
STUN support has been added and can be configured under `Calling > SIP # > Configuration`.
Added support for the Japanese language in the display UI.
The custom language name defined in the translation file is now displayed in the Display UI instead of the generic "Custom" label.

AXIS I5304 now includes an optional Control Center screen, providing access to additional HTTP commands and widgets such as date and time. It can be enabled and customized under Services > Control Center. This feature allows you to define which screen appears when the device wakes—either the classic home screen or the customizable Control Center. The second screen remains accessible with a simple swipe.
A background image that is common to both the Home Screen and Control Center can be uploaded via Hardware > Display > Background Image.
Native integration with Microsoft Teams has been added, allowing bidirectional calling with our devices and enabling door unlocking directly from the Teams client. Configuration is available via Services > Integration > MS Teams.

Devices can now generate Certificate Signing Requests (CSR) directly from the web interface under System > Certificates > CSR.
All SIP accounts now support additional backup proxy and registrar servers.
Changing the web interface password now requires entering the current password. As a result, restoring a configuration will no longer change the password. Auto Provisioning can change the password only if the current one is still set to default.
Cameras assigned to a device in Indoor View can now be shown as the default instead of the device’s internal camera. Third-party cameras can be added via Hardware > Cameras, and the display behavior adjusted under Directory > Devices > device detail > Cameras.
