Din fișa tehnică reținem: iluminare IR de până la 100 m, WDR de 140 dB, compresie H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264, detecție inteligentă a persoanelor și vehiculelor, recunoaștere a numerelor de înmatriculare, microfon și difuzor încorporate, slot microSD de până la 1 TB, 2 intrări / 2 ieșiri de alarmă și alimentare PoE (802.3at). Aparatul cântărește 2,33 kg și are dimensiunile 120.8 mm × 102.9 mm × 367.4 mm (4.75" × 4.05" × 14.77").

Hikvision oferă pentru iDS-2CD7A87G2H/P-XZHSY firmware-ul V5.9.24 build 260901, lansat la 01.09.2026. Fișierul se descarcă direct de pe serverele Hikvision; IPCCTV nu găzduiește firmware.

Firmware-ul se încarcă din interfața web a aparatului (meniul de întreținere / upgrade), din SADP sau iVMS-4200 ori, la înregistratoare, de pe un stick USB din meniul local.
