Câteva date tehnice importante: iluminare IR de până la 40 m, WDR de 140 dB, compresie H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264, detecție inteligentă a persoanelor și vehiculelor, funcții de detecție facială, slot microSD de până la 1 TB, 1 intrare / 1 ieșire de alarmă, alimentare PoE (802.3at) și protecție IP67. Ca gabarit, cântărește 1,33 kg și are dimensiunile 323.4 mm × 114.5 mm × 114.5 mm (12.73" × 4.51" × 4.51").

La ultima verificare, cel mai nou firmware pentru iDS-2CD5T47G2-X(H)S(Y) era V5.11.50 build 261026 (26.10.2026). Pagina se actualizează zilnic din lista oficială Hikvision.

Firmware-ul se încarcă din interfața web a aparatului (meniul de întreținere / upgrade), din SADP sau iVMS-4200 ori, la înregistratoare, de pe un stick USB din meniul local.
