Aparatul cântărește 10,5 kg și are dimensiunile Ø290 mm × 453.2 mm (Ø11.42" × 17.84").

Hikvision oferă pentru DS-2SF8C442MXG1-EL(W)(Y)/26 firmware-ul V5.9.7 build 260810, lansat la 10.08.2026. Fișierul se descarcă direct de pe serverele Hikvision; IPCCTV nu găzduiește firmware.

Firmware-ul se încarcă din interfața web a aparatului (meniul de întreținere / upgrade), din SADP sau iVMS-4200 ori, la înregistratoare, de pe un stick USB din meniul local.
